What you'll find on this site is an e-book I wrote in October of 2002 after I did extensive research in gold, silver and platinum investments. After deciding that the market timing was right for doing major investments in precious metals, I decided I wanted to make some extra money to buy even more gold, silver and platinum. I decided to write an e-book about investing in precious metals and sell it online. I linked up with an Internet marketing company out of Los Angeles, California, and started doing opt-in email blasts to millions of potential buyers–people who expressed interest in investing information. I was young (18) and not very marketing savvy at the time, so sales were slow to say the least. Out of the millions of emails sent, I only had a handful of people willing to give me $49.99 for the e-book.
Now that I look back at those times, I understand a little more of why my e-book failed to sell. I think one of the reasons (besides poor marketing) is that at the time gold, silver and platinum were coming off their all-time lows. According to Dow Theory, this is when the "smart money" is getting involved. This is the "Accumulation Stage". After years of gold prices trending downward, the masses had grown to look down upon gold and silver investment as a "past time". Gold and silver investment hadn't been headline news in about 20 years. The masses looked down upon it. To many, it was something only elderly men did as a hobby. But, as you'll see in the e-book, it was at this time that people "in the know"–people like Warren Buffet–were starting to accumulate gold, silver and platinum. The executives of the world's largest banks started discussing buying precious metals at this time. One of the world's most successful fund managers (Warren Buffet) made the largest silver investment in history. The "smart money" was accumulating. I was happy to be doing the same thing as they were, and I wish I had had the marketing savvy to inform more people.
Unfortunately, because my e-book didn't sell as I had planned, my precious metal investing was limited. Despite this, I have been lucky enough to more than quadruple my initial investment over the last five years. Precious metals have taken off as the "smart money" predicted.
The good news is the precious metals rally isn't over. According to Dow Theory, we are in the "Public Participation Stage"–this is when the masses get excited. I imagine that with the excitement that has been generated recently about precious metals I could probably sell a lot more reports. But, since I'm involved in my other businesses, which includes trading currencies and gold, I have chosen to publish the e-book for free.
Please enjoy reading the data on gold and silver investments. The "Public Participation Stage" is the longest of the three stages, and you'll probably be able to participate in this precious metals opportunity until about 2012–which is when we could enter the "Distribution Phase" (the buying climax). But, of course, we'll see on that. I will post an update when I believe it's a good time to sell.
Please enjoy the information. But, remember, I am simply a purveyor of information. The investment decisions you take are your own, and I am not liable for any losses you incur from executing your investments or trades.
